Louisiana plastic surgeons present new developments in liposuction techniques

Plastic surgery is all about making a patient look and feel better about themselves and their appearance. While most procedures leave a scar that can easily be treated with silicone ointment, the boost to one's confidence can leave a more lasting effect on the individual. A pair of plastic surgeons from Louisiana is hoping to create a new generation of happy patients by introducing a newer and more effective form of liposuction as part of a multimedia presentation.

Dubbing the process SAFELipo, Dr. Simeon Wall Jr. of the Wall Center for Plastic Surgery has developed a new procedure for liposuction that he claims produces superior results while reducing the risk of contour irregularities.

Wall will be joined by his father, Dr. Simeon Wall, Sr., to deliver a presentation entitled, Innovations in Liposuction: Fat Separation, Equalization and Preservation for Primary and Secondary Contouring, in which they describe the SAFELipo patented technique of sculpting targeted areas while preserving a layer of fat under the skin.

"It's common to use liposuction when performing a tummy tuck to sculpt the waist," says Dr. Wall, detailing the applications of the new technique. "What is less common is to use that excess fat to enhance the appearance of the hips or buttocks. This can achieve a more comprehensive improvement."ADNFCR-3015-ID-19729842-ADNFCR
